My name is Carl McCain. I've been in the construction industry all my life. My father was a builder and I''m a builder now. I started in 1989, changed the name to MGM Custom Homes and Remodeling after the recession, and added the remodeling to the company after.
Before Yodle my biggest marketing challenge was getting the right leads. I worked with a company that I bought leads from but they were unqualified leads, and those leads were sent to a lot of people and you basically competed against all of these other companies that got the same lead.
The people at Yodle are attentive unlike other companies Ive tried. The results with Yodle have been good. After we signed on, for the first month we got three jobs and we also got our name out there. I finished a $7,000 deck, a $40,000 basement, which came through Yodle. Now we're working on a $40,000 sun room through Yodle, and these are all three big dollar projects.
The adversite I do like, especially where you can actually show your pictures. You also can show the reviews that you got from other customers. They also, by looking at the pictures and the reviews, the customer is going to be able to tell if you're right to do their project.
The uploading the pictures was easy to do. Just follow the instructions and everything worked like it was planned. I like the idea that you can insert reviews in that you got from your current and your past customers. Right now we have just basically started and we've already got nine to ten reviews, and the reviews are real positive because it really gives the customer, and the new customers, an idea of what you can expect, what kind of work that you're going to do, and they can feel safe about wanting to work with you.
I foresee continuing to use Yodle down the road for more work. We want to keep going with the leads that they keep sending us.
